Alberta Municipal Affairs, Public Library Services Branch

Every public and system library board in Alberta is eligible to receive provincial funding from the Public Library Services Branch in the form of an operating grant to assist with operating costs. This session will review the funding structure and its intended purpose, and will provide useful techniques to make sure that the application process is a breeze!

This workshop will show you a new made-in-Alberta approach to planning that lets you pick your own way to Learn (talk to the community), Plan (analyze data and write a great Plan of Service) and Do (put the plan into action, measure results and celebrate success).

It has been a busy year for PLSB! This session will highlight the current network initiatives that the Public Library Services Branch has to offer to support Albertans through Alberta's public libraries.

• Learn about current initiatives that have been delivered via the Network and new projects under development

Every year there are excellent submissions to the Minister's Awards that don't win. This presentation will highlight some of the most innovative and excellent services we've heard about in the last couple of years. Attendees are sure to leave with fresh ideas for new programs and services.
