Workplace Speech Discussion Document

Author

Deb Thomas, Brent Roe, Dick Ellis

Description

The CFLA-FCAB IFC drafted this document over the course of a year with the intent of linking it to a position statement advocating for more "full, frank and respectful discussion" between management and staff to foster a healthy workplace. The position statement has not yet received approval from the Board. In the meantime, this discussion document covers both the aspirational and practical aspects of freedom of speech for staff in library workplaces.
