This summer at Chinook Arch we are doing adult and teen passive programming in the forms of Book Bingo and Bookopoly. These resource were all made on Canva and we can share those files directly with anyone who wants them so you can change and use them for your own library. We will be using these form from the start of July to mid/end of August for anyone 13+ to participate in summer reading and have a chance to win some cool prizes.

Running a meeting can be an intimidating challenge but having a basic understanding of parliamentary procedure can help to smooth the road. This session will cover the whys and hows of parliamentary procedure, and offers information on motions, debate, voting and more. Suitable for library staff and trustees alike.
In this session, we’ll look at the ways ingrained Ableism affects our outlook, equipment, and our service to patrons. Focus will be on practical advice to address these concerns, in order to provide better service and a happier workplace.
Learning Objectives:
This session will cover how everyday technology is used by underprivileged groups, and what accessibility barriers are faced. You will learn how marginalized people use technology daily, how every day occurrences can impede usage, and useful tips on how to improve access to technology and programs for those most in need. Special attention will be paid to disability rights, with a focus on how libraries can make Assistive more Accessible.
Summer Reading Club Buttons
Our library created Club buttons to help promote the 2016 TD Summer Reading Club. We will give them out on registration day and hope the kids wear them throughout the summer. Attached is the template for a 2.24 inch standard-sized button.
